New Paradigm Signature Series

Just discovered Paradigm has a new Signature Series around the corner.

Their bookshelf in the series (Signature S2) is actually heavier and slightly deeper, in dimensions, than the Studio/20. No idea what these will cost though.

Cheers,

Yes, the S2 around $2K it seems, ouch:

PS. Now am not sure how new the Signature series really is. That link says March/03, they were at pre-production back them, but still.

I believe the flagship is going to be in the 6K price range.

I don't know how many people are going to buy it but I think it is about time that they came out with higher end speakers.

I didn't think it was possible for single-woofer bookshelf speakers to get any bigger. The Studio/20 is HUGE, and now this...yipes...look out everybody.

WTF?

There are few actual bookshelves that could support the S2's. Although, most people would use Stands, but I guess the semantics of the name is still funny.

At least it's not a mini-Nautilus, that'd be...like 100+ pounds, considering Nautiluses are 263 pounds each (with base)...madness.

Yes I doubt anyone would be able to put them on a bookshelf. Besides the heavy weight, they are 14 inches deep! At least on the pics I like how they look though. Will go to the local Paradigm dealer to see if they have them already, would like to see them and give them a listen.

Check out the Dynaudio C1, the specs indicate 16.9 inches deep!!!

But I tell you I've seen these dynaudios in person, gorgeous.

The C1 may also be placed on bookshelves or into A/V cabinetry if necessary.

is this a whole new line? this seems quite a jump up in price from the studio series, doesn't it?

Yeah, wtf? Weren't they like $650/pair for the "bookshelf" ones?

Well maybe the street prices will be less.
