Hello all i am new here, and i have an asus essence stx soundcard hooked up to klipsch promedia 2.1's .. and well in 2 months i have blown out 2 subs (i have 2 pairs of the same speakers/sub). So instead of wanting to replace the subwoofer for the 2.1 i was looking into the klipsch 5.1 subwoofer since it is dual 10's i figured it would be able to handle the kind of music i listen to a little better without blowing out. Anyway further investigation i realized i couldn't even hook up that system to my soundcard since it's only intended for 2.1 setups and doesn't have the 3 outputs required. So now im wondering if there is any subwoofer out there that could power my klipsch speakers and work with the soundcard. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. thanks!

A very all-round headphone for me. Just the right one to take on the go or on holiday. Also as a DJ, nice noice isolation. Very durable so you don't have to wonder if it will break if you throw...

I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...

Asus Xonar Essence STX + Klipsch Promedia 2.1 Problems ... need help/suggestions
IIRC the Promedias are actually good sounding for the green but peeps have reported these dying @ an ever increasing rate due to either
a. fatal design flaw
b. decreasing QC in newer batches
If u want quality *and* durability : there are hifi speakers bought in the 70s still playing as we speak so perhaps look into a 2.0 bookshelf + amp if $$ is tight
You could then add on a proper hifi 8-10" subwoofer with high level/line level inputs/outputs down the road

the speakers still work great, its just that the subs blew out recently.. and i don't know if it was related to the new soundcard or what because i used them for about 4 years on my sb live external card with no problem, but once i got this new computer with the essence stx it blew 2 subs within 2-3 months. so im not really looking for new speakers since i have 4 working ones, i just need some bass to go along with them.. so far i've found nothing that would work with them though except replacing the same sub, which i don't wanna do if it's just gonna blow within a month.
