Hey guys. I have some cheap Logitech speakers (~£15, 2.1), and had a PC 350 headset. I used the speakers whenever I wasn't in the mood for headphones (just lightly browsing web inbetween jobs, when I had people around etc), and a real life saver with them was that the in-line volume control (little puck shaped twistable that sits on the desk) has it's own jacks for the mic and stereo front. This means whenever I wanted to use the speakers, I just unplugged my headphones and sound would go back to the speakers, and vice versa. Couldn't have imagined having to **** around with the back of my PC every time I wanted to swap.
Now, while I owned the headset I never tested whether there was a SQ difference between using the stereo jack on the soundcard and using the speaker jack, and since I am soon to own some AD700s, I was just wondering what you guys/girls thought. I mean, I can probably just test them when I get them (couple of weeks), but I figured I would do some digging first.
The cable is about a foot and a half to two foot long between the volume control and the actual stereo jack on my PC. I also have a BSG CMOY on the way, so would that have any effect?
