The Samson SR850. The best out of my collection..The Panasonic RP-HTF600-S is a close second.

K601's, since they are my only headphone. tongue.gif

Ideally, I'd like to play games with a little more bass, but the K601's get the job done.

Curious do any here feel that it ´s worse gaming with high end headphoens like HD 800 and LCD-2 then cheapass headphones. Gaming audio is supposed to be so bad it doesn´t matter? Those who tried high end headphones for gaming do you agree?

Lots of gaming audio is amazing.

Yeah, totally do not agree. The vast majority of gaming audio is better than popular music wink_face.gif

I personally dislike using open headphones for gaming, largely because I often game while other people are about. I use the DT770/250, or occasionally the T1 if I'm alone.

I wonder what games you guys are playing that has amazing audio quality. Even games that people claim have great audio, like Crysis, sound mediocre to me.

Currently finished Assassins Creed 2 and started on Brotherhood and have no complaints about the audio here. Neither on the musical or sound effect side to give a recent example. There was a long time I played a game in the RPG/action RPG/adventure genre that had horrible audio. Heck even Super Mario Galaxy employ classical orchestras these days but the wii is a very limited sound platform so it has some issues probably due to that.

Don´t do much fps games anymore. Racing games a lot of them have awful audio but that is not such an easy task to record an F1 engine as classical orchestras ;).

Fps games with good audio I would say battlefield series then.  Otherwise I am weak for the old midi scores in the past for Doom for example when there really was limitations to the sound quality you could achieve. It´s not like that anymore.

LCD-2 when no one's around, Sony MDR EX-1000 when people are.
