I've grown sick of my Fasttrack Pro since it keeps suddenly just stop playing music and i have to reboot it all the time.

So now I'm looking at upgrading to a proper DAC. I've been looking a bit at the V-DAC mk II and the DacMagic. Is there anything else I should look at which is in the same price range?

Ideally I want a simple USB connection, but optical would work as well.

 

Rest of the chain is KICAS -> markl Denon D5000

Would it also be possible to split the output to feed into speakers without degrading quality or such?
