Perhaps you need to give your ears more time to adjust.  The 600 and 650 are notoriously dark and require some decent amping to really shine, the Sig on the other hand is very much at home on a ipod or a megabuck uber system.

Bottom line.....give them a chance.

I didn't mean "not getting good results".  It is quite good but probably not a wide enough soundstage and a touch to bright. That might be better with a different amp/dac combo.

It is probably wrong to compare the closed SP with the open HD650. Both are good just different !

I am looking for a closed back headphone with good sub bass which still remains neutral. Can anyone help, thanks.

Sig Pros or Alpha Dogs should suit that spec, the ADs are probably better on bass if well amped

I am very interested to know your opinions as I have the ed8 & esw11 now.
To me the ed8 has surpassed my esw11,
And they are redefining what I have come to expect from a portable in every area of sound.
They simply do not sound like a portable at all.
I finding it hard to accept this and now my attention has turned to these SIG pro, but the SIG DJ looks better to me....
Dam...

The only advantage the esw11 or the es10 have over the ed8 is size/ease of use. I like having a lightweight lower profile pair but the ed8 sq is much better. The ed8 also scales up quit a bit more when you add an amp to the equation. Hope I like the sigpro, crossing fingers. So far though hasn't shipped. I think the djpro would be too boomy/brassy for me. I find that the bass heavyset tuff has a tendency to drowned out the details and clarity-for me of course. When I was a teenager though I loved real bass heavy stuff.

I have both the Sig PRO's and the Sig DJ's and after having both for over a year I can't decide which I love more and I do mean LOVE. They are decidedly different. The PRO's have more mids and more sub bass. The DJ's have more mid bass, less mid range, but have a wider soundstage. I will use one for 3 months, then arbitrarily switch to the other, and after my brain gets used to it swear they're better, I think it's a great problem to have.

I've had limited time with the ED8's but found them a tad top heavy.

Also for anyone basing their Ultrasone opinion on the PRO900's I have to say when I owned them for 3 months I thought they sounded like total *****!

Don't snooze on the PRO's!

If i say i like my hfi 780 what would be the next logical ultrasone upgrade for me?

Anyone tested the SigPRO with the Astell & Kern AK240 ?  does this combo offer good synergy ?

Hopefully I will be testing it with the ak120 very soon. 240 is out of budget and since I use many files w/o art or good tagging, the 120 is probably good for now anyway. I use folders to access those files. Think if I worked at home then the streaming would be a good feature though.

Please check the measurements on Inner Fidelity. I think the Signature Pro would be it. It is better in all regards but not totally different. And I love it. you will probably love it too.

Have just received a Ultrasone Signature Pro from Whiplash recabled balanced directly to both drivers with his new TWau Reference wire 😊

Have previously owned Edition8 and from memory (2 years ago) the Sig is more neutral which I like a lot.

Must sound fantastic. I have both the Sig PRO's and the Sig DJ's recabled balanced by Moon Audio with Black Dragon V2 and I love 'em.

Enjoy!
