I have this amp since few days only and can't formulate any experienced opinion but to my ears Meier's crossfeed is very subtle.  When  I will have enough time to serious listening I'll come back here and will give you more information.

Nevertheless. I think that this amp worthes definitel its price especially with current spring sales ( sales end at 21th June If I remember well )

Not sure if anyone caught this since the comments have mostly been about their amps, but Meier Audio is having a sale on Sig Pros currently, until June 21. The price is down to $815.

@pietcux: about crossfeed: i didn't Knox anything about crossfeed before i bought this corda jazz. what i can say is this effect is magical for my old jazz recordings (60s 50s). I can now hear classical jazz through my headphones. for the other part of my musical collection, crossfeed is sometimes very hearable and sometimes not. it's always subtle.

Thank you Sorrodje. A friend of mine wants to sell me an older Corda desktop amp with crossfeed, now I can decide better.

Would the O2 amp and DAC be good for these headphones? I'd like something simple for my laptop.

The Sig Pro is not very demanding regarding power. So your choice should be fine. They run also fine from my new Asus Xonar U7 external soundcard which has a good DAC and Headphone amp.

I am considering buying either the Signature Pro or the Fostex TH600.

I do not expect that somebody has both at home, but maybe someone could compare the Signatures and the 900 pro for me. As a side note. I did not like the sound signature of the 900 PRO (too sharp highs and too much bass quantity).

The SIG PRO is not comparable to the PRO 900 in any way. They are a neutral can, excellent in bass, mids and treble. So you do not get a bass monster and no piercing treble.

Thanks for the reply. That is a good answer.

Due to the fact, that I do not have to pay import taxes on the Sig Pro, I lean more towards them.

I PMd AnakChan to ask him for the differences, between TH600 and the Sig Pros. Depends on what he will say, I will pull the trigger on either one of these this weekend.

I agree with Pietcux nevertheless Ultrasone Signature pro keeps Ultrasone House sound: Exceptionnally good bass ( but not proheminent in this SP)  laid back/recessed mids ( but very very good and detailed and not as recessed from far than pro900 .. Sp mid is just... right IMO) and sparkling treble ( but never harsh in SP)

Ultrasone House Sound is acceptable. Or to formulate it otherwise. With me and the PRO900, it was love and hate. The technical abilities of that certain headphone were impressive (detail and resolution), compared to what I had in house. However I just could not enjoy them. When I listened to the warm sound signature of the HM601, the highs were acceptable, but the lows covered the mids....

Recently I tried the Edition 9 in a shop. If the SP is similar to the Edition 9, then it is a winner for me.

I don't know anything about ed9 but IMO Sig pro is an impressive pair of headphones far more balanced than pro900. Nevertheless If what you're looking for is a romantic smooth sound with lush mids , SP is a wrong route . SP is definitely an Ultrasone. :)

Well, I do not expect them to sound like the ESW11LTD. When reading through this thread, I read a lot of comments about the SP being neutral.

Yep . The most Neutral of All Utrasones I tried for sure.  But in my opinion, the Biggest quality of This SP is its transparency . You really listen to the Music as it has been recorded/mastered and produced.  SP didn't impose its own sound or color to the music ( I hated Hifiman he400 for this reason) .

I didn't listen to ath esw11LTD myself but from what I read, the SP signature is at the opposite.

Are the SP forgiving, when it comes to bad recordings? Also how do female voices sound with the SP? How about jazz?
