Hello,
I currently have SPDIF out from my motherboard into a Marantz receiver, which is powering my monitors. However, I also have a Heed CanAmp that I would like to use with my computer as a source. Sadly, the tape out from the Marantz doesn't work (something to do with the signal going from SPDIF in to tape out...it's not possible with my receiver), and I don't want to hook up the pre-amp out to the headphone amp. I am looking for something that can help me link everything together.
I thought about an e-mu 0404, which I can use either USB or SPDIF in, then line out for the headphone and and digital out to the receiver.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a product that would help me? If anything, I suppose I don't want to downgrade from the DAC on the Marantz (even though it's not high end - for reference, I have a nu-force DAC and it sounds much worse than the Marantz).
Thanks
