So, it looks as if my earphones have encountered the usual problem for this model and given up where the insulator meets the strain relief on the plug. Annoying because they are only 6 months old and a shame because they sounded great.
It was a gradual death - the remote stopped working first, then the mic was patchy and finally the left channel stopped working too. I'm pretty handy with electronics so I bought a new plug and opened up the old one... Nightmare! Frayed strands everywhere and the entire thing has been encased in plastic.
Does anyone know the colour code for the wiring? I've found the correct pinout but it's not that helpful without knowing the colour coding!
Failing that, anyone know who I can contact at Klipsch to sort this out? 6 months is pretty poor considering my previous in-ears (Shure E2c) lasted 6 years.
