Compact Desktop 2.0 Speakers?

Can anyone recommend some high quality 2.0 speakers for a desktop? I use the Xonar ST soundcard, and need something compact for my desk. Most 2.0 speakers are too tall for my set up :'(

Drivers/woofer has to be a certain size to belt out a certain standard of SQ so dun hit too small or you'd be dissapointed frown.gif

 

On top of my head would be active monitors or small cool running T-amps and passive bookshelf speakers  Which ones depend on your budget yada yada tongue_smile.gif

what about a T amp and something smallish like the Acoustic Energy Compact 1 speakers?

AudioEngine A2's are a winner - I bought them for my girlfriend off a nice chap on here after falling in love with my white A5's - Wonderful things biggrin.gif
