Just curious. I've seen a bunch of posts abt the LF and some references to the BA vs LF, but nothing that has much behind it. I've got a BA. It would take a bunch to get me to swap the BA for something else.

I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...

i doubt the LF is better than the BA for use with the LCD2. i spent some time listening to the Pinnacle and although i was very impressed, i did not think it sounded better than my BA. if the BA can hold its own against the mighty Pinnacle, i think it will/should outperform most other amps.

I saw meet impressions (seattle maybe?) Where everyone gushed over Kingstyles' BA rig but the Liquid Fire had a very lukewarm reception. It was attributed to tube choice but... from what I can tell it would be a downgrade. I'd bet you dollars to donuts you'll see people go from the liquid fire to the BA over the next couple years, but not the other way around. The BA is a "end of the journey" type of amp (unless you decide to go stats.)

They are very different amps when it comes to how they function.
Short of both of them having glowing tubes that is.
This definitely isn't helping me build patience as I wait for my BA!
Aside from any minor tweaks (power cables, fancy interconnects, etc.), I believe my BA should be similar, if not the same to Kingstyles'

everyone has different preferences.
I admit Kingstyles rig was nothing short of amazing.
Then again he has taken the pains to put together a system that works well.
The LIquid Fire wasn't running off the same source and the availaibility of the source material was on the LF rig was minimal at best.
The BA rig was upwards of 15k while the LF was a mere third of that.
I would like to compare them on equal fotting and actually would like to live with the BA to be absolutely sure which works better
It sounds like the BA is still at the top of the dynamic food-chain. I guess I'd have to go to 'stats if I wanted something on the same level but different. I guess my satisfaction is best demonstrated by the fact that I don't come to the message boards very often anymore. I spend a lot more time looking for music.

^^ i'm mostly the same way. my focus the past year or so has been music. i have a great amp for my senns (my HR Balanced Home) and the Balancing Act for everything else. if i wanted to go big stats - which i don't - the answer would be BHSE/O2.
