The SR60 is a legend...and deserve to be. For so little cash, you get so much...

SR60is or MS1is with modded HD414 pads. Hell, buy a Cmoy or PA2v2 with the leftover cash. wink.gif

Buy the Grado you can afford. For the record I skipped the SR-325 entirely so I have no idea what they sound like.

SR-225's are pro though for sure. If you can score a pair for 150 on the marketplace here, you're good to go... no amp required.

Other Grados were in my price range, but I ended up going with the SR80i because I don't feel bad about modding them.  Tearing out the screens, prying apart the cups, and poking holes in the drivers of $80 headphones is a bit more palatable than doing it to $200+ headphones.

I would definitely agree with this comment, I just got a pair of sr225i in like-new condition, $150 shipped. If you only have $100 to spend, get the sr125 used for about that price.

Marty has a pair of Goldie SR-325's for 220 shipped.. you'd be pretty silly to buy any other headphone for the price...
