Hi ,,,,

I will upgrade the stock OpAmp with LME49720NA, but I have a question that may sound silly,,

im only using the headphone port with Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphone,, and im using the lowest gain setting (Normal Gain 0dB)

so will I benefit from upgrading the OpAmp or not?

thanx

Badr

I'm sure you will improve the sound with LME49720NAs

How about getting the LME49860NA or even newer LME49990NAs.

I mean if its in (Normal Gain 0dB),, doesn't that mean the OpmAmp won't be used, or its will only passing the sound signal without amplifying it, so in that case it doesn't matter which OpAmp is installed?

Or it does amplify while the setting is (Normal Gain 0dB)?

thanx alot

Badr...etc :D

The only opamp socket that you need to change for the headphone amp out is the Two I/V sockets. Also you can give OPA2107AP a shot,as they suppose to be a cheap ver of the OPA637. You best bet is to roll opamps til you find a pair you like with your headphones.
