Sorry for delay. Missed this post. What type of music do you listen to and what amp are you using?

Hello Drew.

I am planning to use HD800 with Grace Design m903.

In another thread you've mentioned that Black Dragon V2 is now shipping for HD800 as well ("adds a fuller sound with more bottom end weight" comparing to Blue Dragon V3).

- Would you recommend the black dragon v2 for more bottom end when using together with m903?

- On another note. I've done a mod for Ultrasone Pro 900 at Moon Audio a year and a half ago (hardwired dual entry 10ft Black Dragon v3 w/ Furutech FP-704). I am completely happy with the sound (mentioned it somewhere already), but have a question regarding physical cable specs. The Black Dragon v3 on Ultrasone is quite stiff and one can hear the 'echo' when cable is touching a hard surface (or rubbing itself while moving around). The Black Dragon V2 for HD800 looks different on photos. Is it also somewhat smoother/'softer", can it be 'heard' when you move around with the headphones? Any difference in this regard to Blue Dragon v3?

I don't move much when listen to headphones anyway, but it is just good to know.

- And the last question is: would a 15ft cable loose in SQ/volume/resolution(?) (if anything) compared to the same 10ft cable?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Ivan

Yes the Black Dragon V2 HD800 cable is the way to go for sure:) We are no longer using techflex jackets on our cables. So no worry about the issue on your older cable. You are fine upto 20ft with the Black Dragon after that length becomes an issue without a very powerful headphone amp.
