Have had great results changing the stock tubes on the HP4 for the Sophia Electric 6SL7 tubes. Problem with the EAR chassis is it only takes short tubes so I had to cut out the vent opening to allow the HP4 to accept the Sophias. Worth it as these tubes are the best I've heard with this amp. Anyone else gone this route?
