Need to find SOLID headband for Grado SR225i!!!

I seriously need a new ULTRA solid headband for my grado SR225i. The plastic (L & R) keep falling off and the black things holding the metal rods keep falling as well. I seriously need help finding a headband that will never fail or fall, like good enough to go running for 10 000 miles with it on your neck.

Know any places where I can buy?

I was thinking of a metal headband. I don't think that good enough.

I don' understand

Is the band falling apart? Because it is metal

Or are the cups falling off?

It seems that you either broke the internals of the headband holders

Or just forcing the cups off by the rods.

Either way you don't run with Grados. Get a pair of KCS75's for working out

The headband holders fall off after a while and the black thing on the rods too. (heat shrink)

I meant a full metal construct (metal holder attached to metal headband)

I know I'm not supposed to use my Grados for outside usage but I do own a Cowon S9 so it's not as bad.

I use my Grado almost exclusively as a portable.

But the hangers shouldn't come off. I even put on a new headband and it stays on. You've twisted it or something.

A little glue (watch out for the internals, you might glue the rods to the frame) will fix you.

I'd be better know if you can show me a pic. If the damage isn't severe, a little contact cement should fix it.

Don’t have cam.

Can I KRAZY glue the hangers? If I want to buy a new headband (leather part), will it be hard to take off with that glue?
And what about the heat shrink because it only happen like twice with the hanger so it's not a big deal but the black heat shrink only last about 1 month until they fall right off.

Here's what I did with my SR-80. Too bad it costs $80 biggrin.gif

dj100 headband.JPG

It uses the DJ100 headband. Not good for those with a massive head and seems to work best with the flat pads.

Requires widening the holes on the SR-80, so that's what ruins this idea.

Few more pictures here:

Nice headphones.

I don't have flats so I don't think they would work. I would definitely consider this but I'd prefer metal.

J$ refers to a website: jmoneyaudio. they make comfy leather headbands. but they fit over the existing grado metal headband and only replace the leather bit.  they would not fix the issues you have with things falling apart.
