Little dot ii or iii?

I searched but came up with nothing regarding the differences between these two amps. I'm new to tube amps and until I found this site my addiction to headphone collecting :)

Just wondering if someone has had both and if the price difference is worth it? I've read all the specs and it seems like the ii has less thd which I know is always a good thing, so what are the advantages of the 3 over the 2?

Heya,

What headphones are you looking to power?

(By the way, my Little Dot MK III is for sale, $180 shipped to any USA address)

Very best,

Heya,

The M50 & D2000 do not need an amp, especially a powerful one. The K702's definitely benefit amplification. Most people would suggest the Little Dot MK III, IV, M-Stage, etc, even the Schiit Lyr for the AKG flags.

Very best,

MalVeauX, thanks for your replies! Not really looking to drive them per se but want the tube amp sound I remember from my childhood listening to reel to reel with my dad through  headphones. Basically wanting to get rid of the sterile cd sound and get a warmer sound-especially through the m50's

Heya,

You'd probably just benefit from having a headphone with more mids. Wait until you get the K702 or D2000. Naturally you'll need an amp for that K702. A tube will do you great justice regardless. Get the most tube you can get for your money.

Very best,
