Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

The IE80s are very easy to drive and should work well from any phone. I've amped mine and heard a bit of a difference but not enough to really warrant an amp considering they are coming out of a phone. The most important thing for the IE80s are the correct tips.

Medium Spiral Dots are the tip of choice for me with the IE80.

I've just ordered myself a pair of IE80, to pair with my Rockboxed Sansa Clip Zip and retire my Sony XB90.

With regads to cables, I know there are many posts scattered amongst this thread, but in the here and now and in the UK, what are currently the reccomended replacement cables? Ideally I'd like a staight plug.

Thanks in advance chaps.

If it's just the plug bothering you look at the Earmax cable for the IE 80. The cable is very nice for such a low price.
It's this cable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-Earphone-Upgrade-Cable-Replacement/dp/B00FL8O6KG/
