I got a quick fix to that, and i do it because my ears are kind of small.

Firstly u straighten the whole cable.

Hold both piece of the iem, L and R respectively on each hands, turn both iems inwards 1 round then wear them.

It would create an inward bend that helps to prevent them from getting out behind ur ears when u wear them "over the ear"

Works for all cables, make 2 rounds if u feel it's not secure enuf.

Oh yep, I heard about that

I use my IEMs full time on the PC as a replacement to headphones, so it's very very inconvenient for me to keep doing that every time I get on and off the computer. Also probably why I'm hesitant on changing the channels and wearing them upside down - positional sound is important to me for gaming etc.

Don't ask why I use IEMs for gaming haha :p, I just do - I find them better than my Sennheiser HD555s. Heard that the IE80s have exceptional soundstage which is why I bought them over the Vsonic GR01s

If it was just for a casual train ride to and from work, I wouldn't mind.

It was also the main reason why I sold my Vsonic GR07s, cable annoyed me and I found them uncomfortable, also the noise isolation didn't match the Yamaha EPH100s. Although I regret selling them, I've been through 3 pairs of EPH100s already, so much money wasted - so now i'm hoping that the IE80s will last me ages, unless the Vsonic GR08s becomes the next big thing!

I'm having some big love for my ie80's that I've had for a little over a week. NONE of the stock tips worked for me, but the comply tips are perfect for my smaller ears. I ordered a silver cable but it taking about forever for it to get here. Should see it about Wednesday or Thursday.

I'm learning quickly that for me, the enjoyment of IEMs call comes down to the tips. I was ready to send these back until I found the comply tips.

All,

Can I assume that if I upgrade to a silver galaxy cable, I will no longer be able to use the earhooks that came with the IE80's?

Thanks

I ordered a silver galaxy cable but was told that you should ask them to be bent/formed for over the ear use. Not sure if I can do that myself or not.

Does a pair of sample comply tips come with the ie80s? one of the biggest problems I had with the GR07s is that none of the sony hybrid tips gave any noise isolation.

Does it sit nicely on the ear without bending for over the ear use? I currently use the stock cable just as it is without the ear hooks.
