I tried searching for this, but couldn't find anything. I'm curious about how much of a difference one would find between the two amps. Is there enough to justify buying one or the other? I was particularly impressed with the Ultra Desktop when I had it on loan from Headroom but I am leery of spending that kind of money, even though were it not contended by anything else in the near future I'd probably buy one. Trouble is, I can't find any reviews comparing the desktop with the ultra desktop. Can anybody shed any light on the differences at the ears?
i was fortunate enough to have the ultra desktop + psu + hd800 combo in my home for over a week and fell in love with the setup, so I've been spoiled rotten but 4000$ seems a bit steep and trying to come up with something that will similarly satisfy for much less. desktop + psu + Hd650 clocks in at half the price so... thoughts guys?
