Woo Audio 2

I just received my Little Dot I+ in the mail today, but I became a little disheartened to learn my new guy has a limited life span. I'm not sure if its the Tubes, the amp itself, or both that degrades in quality, but it makes me feel like my LDI+ is a ticking time bomb. How long is it typically till these amps decay?
I was warming up my tube amp. A minute or two after I turned it on I heard this crackling sound coming from the hp. I looked at my amp and one of the output tubes was blue and sparking inside. Turned it off quickly, changed the tubes, powered it back. Nothing else got broken.
That's a Yulong D100 DAC/Amp
That is NOT a Darkvoice (La Figaro) 339. Here is the item you are looking for:

What, you guys don't use taobao?
Everybody uses Taobao! -- Actually, I've idly browsed it a couple times - like browsing Rakuten or the auctions in yahoo.jp, it's an interesting way to kill a few hours when you're feeling brain-dead. Never bought anything from there, though. It might eventually become a good resource for westerners wanting to purchase parts directly from the source, but at the moment it's rough for non-Chinese to navigate, and you usually have to work through agents who take a commission (google "taobao english" to see a bunch; I have no idea what to recommend, though)
That photo came up from an eBay user selling the 339.
Does anyone have pics of the 339 innards?
Taobao seems interesting, however, I don't know Mandarin. Assuming that is Mandarin; I have no idea.
yeah my link actually shows some of the innards photos
hehe same link. maybe i should just use the normal way to link than trying to shortening it with words
One thing to keep in mind with tube amps is where you source your tubes from. Yes e-bay is a cheap source, but when you buy from there you're rolling the dice. I recommend buying from a reputable dealer that will take of you after the sale if you happen to get a bunk tube.
As far as I know it's just tubes and caps. I used a 222c 1963 Scott tube amp for about ten years until 2007 and it worked fine. I guess If I would have taken it in the caps were failing. Maybe the sound was not exactly what it should have been, but it was great! They will last.
The Scott 222c and 222d put out about 20w per channel. The older 222a and 222b about 13w per channel and they made 200s models which some even put out a little less.
The 222c and 222d are what people like now as they put out more power. I didn't need any more with speakers or headphones. The other Scotts sound great too I'm sure. Some even have a third center channel to mix right and left stereo together. This was in the day when the HI/FI elite still were holding on to the notion that mono was better.
sorry for the late reply Uncle E.
As said above, that's not the 339. this is a pic of the inside without having to click ;-)
Never mind the arrows ;)
Just shout if you want more pics of the inside
^^^ That's quite a few wirewound resistors.
Well it is a dual mono design :)
