UM Global Deal - The lucky 25 (All slots filled so please stop PM'n me to join) - Page 7

What are the people on the list planning to get? I'm going with the Merlin and already ordered the Supreme Rose cable to go with it.

of course the Miracle. i think that Merlin will be too bass heavy for my taste.

I think I'm gonna go with the Miracle too.  I've read reviews from people going from the ie8 to the Miracle and they were satisfied with the bass level.  I know it's not basshead level impact but it should be really tight and have a ton of depth.  Not only that but the added isolation should definitely help flesh out the details as well.

i have the same question about the socket. Recessed or flat? which one is better? i assume the recessed socket will provide extra protection for the pins, right?

I'm getting the Miracle. biggrin.gif

I'm probably going to get the Merlin, but I'm worried that if UM goes out of business one day, I won't be able to get them reshelled... confused_face_2.gif

Hard time deciding.  I'm a dynamic guy but love the accuracy of ba's.  I think it comes down to bass and Merlin might take the cake.

To quote the custom IEM master (average_joe)... "Recessed connectors offer more strength at the plug/jack and have a lower chance of coming loose in my experience.  I have not had issues with my flush jacks, but I am not rough on my equipment."

I'm probably alone on this one, but I'm thinking Mage. I'm not that big a bass fan and the Miracle is a bit too pricey, even with the discount.

I have to admit, I was contemplating the Mage since it seemed like such a great deal and it has gotten great reviews...

I've even contemplated getting both, but that may be overkill. :P

Ugh, I think I am in... I just have to free up some stuff and build some computers, by the end of the month, so that I might not starve to death from having no food/money lol

Are we waiting til the end of the month to send in our molds?

I would be considering the Aero, if I were to get in on this GB. I don't use IEMs often enough to justify shelling out the cash for the Miracle, when I could instead build an almost entire new computer for that price. But from another point of view, the Miracle is not that far off from the Aero... only a couple weeks of eating rice and beans.

Well the deal goes live as soon as we hit 20 people right? The group buy is only open until the end of the month so more people can get the opportunity to hear about it? In any case, I'm sure Poetil/Stephen will have further instructions once we reach 20 people. =)
