Thanks for keeping us up to date Cedric! Not to mention all the hard work you've put into organizing this group buy! Thanks!

Rock on Poetik, I appreciate it even if it stays the same.

A better deal? Noooo. I just convinced myself I can't afford a UM custom.

Hey guys,

I've sent you all an email with a few details regarding this.  Please refrain from talking much about the details as obviously that would benefit us in the long run =)

Do you know what is meant by "complex" artwork.  How complex can they make it?

Recessed sockets are default for UM, you can request flat sockets if you prefer.

Simple artwork would cost $50, complex artwork would probably cost more.

As for making the fit tighter and changing the sound, you should probably contact Stephen for more information.

You should probably contact UM to be certain, but if you go to the UM facebook page, they have an example of panda from Kung Fu Panda printed onto the IEM, i think that would be considered complex. Again, just send your graphic/artwork to UM and have them give you a quote for the artwork.

I just put my impressions the cardboard box that the audiologist gave me, stuffed in some tissue paper and the put that box in a padded/bubbled envelop. That's how I sent in my impressions and TF10 last February and the whole thing arrive safe and sound and that's how I sent the impressions this time. I just think the steel outer outer box would be overkill and just increase the shipping cost.

Question to all fellow group buyers; are any of you taking self-impressions? Kozee sent me a kit a few days back, that I'm no longer in need of, and there's enough material for 2 sets of impressions. I had impressions taken about 2 months back via a local audiologist for $50 (in all), but my reshelled JH16's, which were reshelled using that same set of impressions, didn't offer me a good fit, even after an attempt at re-fit made by Kozee; hence why I sold my JH16's altogether. I've really no way of telling whether it was merely my impressions that were the real culprits behind my improper fit, or not. Nevertheless, Adam (of Kozee) sent me back a set of my own impressions, and when I insert said impressions in my ear, the seal is broken from time to time with specific jaw movements. I'm thinking now, I can either get my impresions re-done professionally, this time for $30 (in all), or use the self impressions kit. What say you, my friends?
