The y2 (gamma2) - Headamp?

I've been looking around quite a bit, but I've found nothing about it. Is the Gamma2 a headamp, as well as a DAC? And is it necessary to build the y1 at the same time?

 

Is it a good match for the Grado SR225 and AKG 702?

I have. I don't see any mention of headamp - which suggests that it doesn't have an integrated amp?

It is a dac only, but a darn good one for the money.
