Found this handy burn-in tool on a rather old forum post

Thread Starter

I just bought a new pair of IEMs, and decided to give burn-in a try. It seems like many agree that pink noise is the way to go for this, but I found myself completely unable to find a free, long pink noise loop.

Then I found this: http://simplynoise.com/

Pink, white, and brown noise, and an oscillating volume option. Unless I'm missing something, this pretty much seems perfect.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, or if I seem like an utter noob for posting it (I mean, I am an utter noob so it's ok, right?).

Please let me know if this is not actually a good tool for burn-in (not sure why that would be). Otherwise, hope this is useful!

I've heard on multiple occasions that Brown and White noise can damage your drivers(especially at high volumes) and are not as efficient as pink noise. I can't confirm these theories, but I stick with pink just in case.

I use the 10 minute FLAC of Pink noise found HERE and the minute of silence(doesn't matter bitrate, silence is silence) HERE.

I then double up both the files and create a burn in playlist. Finally, use your favorite FLAC player and your set! 20m Pink to 2m Silence Intervols.
