Different drivers, look at the back side.

Same type of technology but completely different drivers and very different baffle as well, I posted this a few months ago, it is from a Chinese site.

Thanks for sharing, Very intersting stuff. The membranes at least appear to be quite similiar. padam, Are the drivers of the Qualia and SA series the same size? Do you know what other differences there might be?

Qualia is a little bit smaller in diameter I think (compared with SA5k since the SA3k is more different).

Most interesting. Back of the drivers: the Qualia seems to be open in the center (like MDR-F1), while the SA3000 and SA5000 are covered. All three has only one small "bass" hole in the surrounding paper filter (opposite the soldering points). Black or white may not be significant, unless the black SA has an extra layer over the white paper.

All in all - it's all in the tuning!
