Gaming Headphones - Page 2

Wizzard, you may be interested in one of these http://www.dealextreme.com/p/virtual-5-1-surround-usb-2-0-external-sound-card-22475?r.68926768. It costs virtually nothing since it has worldwide free shipping and I've found that it improves the sound quality and volume from my laptop. The 5.1 surround feature comes in handy for games and another thing it works nicely for is plugging a mic into an PS3.

Basically it turns my HS1A into an HS1 for $2 when I don't have a good sound card.

I've just gotten the RX-900 and first impressions are disappointing. Shallow, distant and just bad sound.

Mind you, they have had NO burn-in so this is more than likely down to that (I remember seeing that these headphones are very burn-in dependant).

I'll update my thoughts after a couple of days.

With me out of every can i have owned dt 48, dt880, hd 650, k 701 the fostex t50rp with its greater clarity allows me to pinpoint where the sound is comeing from more easy mainly because of the dac i use.

This area of clarity is usually in it's normal position with prehaps every single headphone except the fostex t50rp it is like this area of clarity goes right into your ear well actually all of the sound does so much that you can feel the vibrations of the sound in your ear drum alot more then my other headphones.

With my laidback attention to the sound this headphone always gets my attention over my other ones, with my hard to impress attitude it really does sound like the instruments and such are right beside you which is this clarity going more forward into your ear, you have to try this headphone.

My ability to tell which side of the headphone the sound is comeing from is greatly enhanced with this headphone to explain what i mean other headphones when the sound comes out of the voice coil or ortho it sounds more high pitched when it leaves it and this is natural and that is how i like my sound but with all headphones this sound is far back rightfully in its correct place(in other words not high pitched if you was 1 mile away from a wireless transmitter like sound waves the sound is less cleaner and gets coloured by the cup and so forth), with the fostex it goes directly into your ear that forward, not forwards as in frequency the actual sound waves are forward as far as i say even the bass so with the fostex these extremely high waves of natural sound is more packed and it gives a sense of better clarity and definition with the fostex so much apart from music you can hear the sound waves in your ear drums anyways energy is uttered.
