Anedio D2 DAC release - Page 90

I have a seriously nice sounding Anedio d2 to be sold. It is in perfect condition in&outside!

(As I know there is a long waiting list at the Anedio factory...) If anybody interested to buy it please send me a private message.

A serious bargain from one of the nicest, most brilliant designers in audio.

Hi guys,

Anyone manage to AB Auralic Vega and Anedio D2 as a DAC/preamp? I'm curious about the difference between the two.

Cheers,
KK

I know in the past that p86 has said the. Vega was better than the D2 but not as good as the Invicta. And then purrin has said hat the vega is his favorite Sabre implementation, besting the invicta which he wasn't all that impressed with.

Now that I'm only using iems and powered monitors I am thinking of selling the big rig for the Anedio D2 or another alternative.  Sound reasonable or should I get my head checked?

Seems reasonable to me!

Well it was a fun mental exercise.  Anedio won't sell outside the US.  Sigh.

IIRC FailedEngineer had an Anedio D1 for sale a few months ago...I don't think it sold

I've had a few offers for people's D2 through PMs.  Just need to close the deal now.

Good to hear!

Can someone tell me

1) when the D2 is harsh and why?

2) does the D2 *change* frequency response and if so what is that like?

I noticed some headphones seem to make the FR sound forward(?) and it sounds like certain sounds have been transposed up (hz wise)

1. Never noticed harshness on mine. Bright, but not harsh.

2. Headphones change the sound, not a good quality dac. IMHO, D2 is very neutral and lets the music speak for itself.

The D2 is faithful.  If the transducer is harsh, you'll get harsh.
