iOS sound signature graphs?

Beg pardon if this has been asked before, did my best to look.

Does anyone know of a good study of the sound signature changes between iOS versions?

The correct term might be "frequency response".

Reason for asking:  Listened for two years through TF10s.  Sounded annoyingly sibilant under iOS 3.x, but after the release of 4.1 they changed the signature to be much warmer; big improvement.  Just received my new JH11s, and they actually sound kinda boomy from my iPhone.  Wondering if there is a different iOS version I could update/downgrade to with a different sound.

It has to do with your device's output impedance more than anything, which one is it?. An output impedance of 7 ohms (iTouch 3G) is enough to cause audible frequency response alterations in certain BA based earphones.

Sorry should have specified, iPhone 4 (output impedance 0.9 ohms according to Google).

Could that have changed with a software update?  I know very little about this stuff but I assume not.  The marked difference was upgrading my old iTouch 3G from iOS 3.x to 4.1, significant change in sound sig.

Nevermind. I'm just a noob... Taking some time to warm up to the sound sig when switching 'phones is the lesson of the day, kids.
