LoL...my thoughts exactly...why waste your time listening to music?

But then again, what would I do with the other 8 minutes I had? tongue.gif

Well dang... Not enough time to hear all of any of the good stuff from How The West Was Won. I love listening to 25 minutes of Dazed and Confused every once in awhile.

This....on repeat for the full 10 mins.

First song, 7 minutes  - "Fade to Black" - Metallica

Last song, 3+ minutes - "Always with Me, Always with You" - Joe Satriani

Both songs played with insanely loud volume.

Knowing me, I'd probably spend 3-4 minutes just scanning my library looking for a certain something but not quite finding it. Then I'd decide to listen to Jimi Hendrix (Little Wing) one last time, and finish up with Flaming Lips (Do You Realize?).

Vera Lynn - We'll Meet Again

or, more realisticially,

ten minutes of bawling and screaming, courtesy of yours truly

Start with this:

Then go out on this

Lissie - Pursuit of Happiness (KiD CuDi cover). To remind me how I lived my life.

Flogging Molly - Seven Deadly Sins. Because my life was as much fun as singing along to this song (I hope).

Bright Eyes - First Day of My Life. On the off-chance there's an afterlife.

Seether - Tonight (3:45)

Norah Jones - The Long Day Is Over (2:45)

Pink Floyd - Us and Them (Live on PULSE) (7:20)

I'd start with the Seether song to make myself feel good, follow it up with the Norah Jones so I have a moment of calmness, and expire as Pink Floyd's Us and Them as performed on PULSE plays.

This was a tough conclusion to reach but at this moment, these songs felt right.

To relax me into acceptance and equanimity - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gy1SV2_mXOA

To take me up into the skies - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HXpqYMQ5l4

I'd like to add that I would be as high as a kite throughout this 10 minutes.

The Dead and Jerry Garcia Bands selections:

"Black Peter" Dead

All of my friends come to see me last night
I was laying in my bed and dying
Annie Beauneu from Saint Angel
say "the weather down here so fine"

Just then the wind
came squalling through the door
but who can
the weather command?
Just want to have
a little peace to die
and a friend or two
I love at hand

Fever roll up to a hundred and five
Roll on up
gonna roll back down
One more day
I find myself alive
tomorrow
maybe go
beneath the ground

See here how everything
lead up to this day
and it's just like
any other day
that's ever been
Sun goin up
and then the
sun it goin down
Shine through my window and
my friends they come around
come around
come around

People may know but
the people don't care
that a man could be
as poor as me...
"Take a look at poor Peter
he's lyin in pain
now let's go run
and see"

Run and see
hey, hey,

run and see

/ Depending upon which "Black Peter" version of improv this could easily kill 10 minutes, though perhaps the studio version would be best in the interest of time so as to listen to two more dying Dead tunes yet to follow going forward  ;)

"Swing Low Sweet Chariot" JGB

"He's Gone" (...and no thing is goin' to bring 'em back) Dead '72

/ tellin' Saint Peter: , "Hate to making 'em wait, but I just gotta have another cigarette" (ironically enough ;')
