Kansas City, MO/KS meet anyone?

I know this topic was brought up in 2002-2007 in a few threads but that was before I was a Head-Fi'er ;)

 

I have a Darkvoice 337 tube amp I don't use that I have for sale and an iBasso D4 Mamba that I use to drive my Senn HD650s that I could bring/show and share. I'd really like to hear a pair of LCD-2s or HD800s or T1s, but especially the LCD-2s. Maybe a Woo Audio 6 (SE maybe?). I am only fourteen so a meet would be my only chance to hear these headphones/amp in the near future.

 

Anyone else interested?

Sort of, but my list of gear should speak for itself, and KC is a few hours away.

I'd love to do something sometime, although I'm in Wichita... I have some decent gear that I've acquired recently that I haven't put in my sig yet. Skylab's vintage Marantz 2275 speaker amp that is perfect with the LCDs and a Lyr with some Siemen tubes... oh yeah and the RWA Isabellina HPA.

 

Let me know if anything materializes!!!

I'd love to hear the RWA and the Lyr. Myself, I have Senn HD650s and a Darkvoice 337 amp with a pesky litle iBasso D$ as a DAC :(

I would love to hear some other DACs because I think that my DAC is what's causing the 650s to feel boring to me. The amps too to see if that's it and solid state is my route for these cans. LCD-2s would also be awesome to hear.

 

We can meet up any weekend really, except when I'm busy every once in a while. When would a good time be for you guys?

All I have is the HD598's so far, I am looking into the schiit lyr and bifrost, but money is pretty tight right now.

Even with the 650s, I might be interested in hearing the 598s. We oughta work something out.

Sounds great! I would love to try out the 650's, I was looking at them or the 600 for my next set. I do need to burn in the 598's a bit though, they are brand new.

i have 650s as well and all the other gear on my list.

 

its still junk compared to what some people have, but its something lol.

I hope to get some planars soon. I oughta pre order the HE-400 since the $$ is there but I feel like I shouldn't. I made a promise with myself that I'd not change my setup once I had it in a great spot

Well... I'm gonna be heading through KC this next upcoming weekend, going to Iowa City for a show but wouldn't mind either on the drive up or back to attend a small get together. If anyone's up for that let me know!!!

we need to get a decent amount of people for a meet.

 

KC is like 150 miles away from me, which i don't care for much but still, its a drive lol
