Please hit up my Mixcloud site at http://www.mixcloud.com/chris-yakubovsky/uploads/ and let me know what you all think.  If you think they're good, please like the site so I can spread my music.  Comments and thoughts are also appreciated!

Thx

I'm about 9 minutes in to "The Event IV"

so far its great.  I usually dont get into any kind of house, but i dig this a lot.

did you write these tracks, or just mix them?

only comment, and this is pure preference, is that you do a lot of major buildups.. .. they build, build, build.. then fizzle.. which is great if they eventually come back and wail like crazy at some point but I felt this part is missing in your overall presentation.. i get that this is really more of a overall style thing, but for me that kind of build up needs resolution with a few "big bang" moments.  Something that gets everybody screaming - Woooooooooooooh!  ;-)

i suppose that "big bang" effect isnt as great with headphones as it is in a club either...

otherwise great stuff for sure..

Thanks for the feedback!  I'm very interested to hear what you have to say when you had a chance to hear the whole thing, and other mixes.  One question, can you explain to me more about when you talk about "build ups"?  Are you talking about the lull during the songs, or something with the transitions?  I've noticed at times my mixes have softer parts in it due to the actual song having them, and wondered if I need to start the other songs earlier in order to keep the "pace" going.  Thank you for your constructive criticism.  Just need to learn more about your idea of build ups and it fizzling.  THANKS!!!!!

many songs, and mixes have a natural rhythm to them.. they start slow, build, and then Ka-pow - dubstep does this very often.. the song starts slow, it builds to a faster pace, more feverish beats, and layers, then maybe it falls off right at the hight of the build and there will be a little interval of chill slow music and then BOOM.. BOOM BOOM BOOM... the main drop, the huge beats, the fever pitch of the song where everyone goes wild.

here is a song that I love that illustrates this principal very well..  starts off easy, chills out, then starts to build.. the sirens, the faster beats, the vocals.. and then KABLAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!   this song packs the whole process into a very short period of time of course...

I'm not referring to how you transition from one song to another - thats part of why i asked if you actually wrote the music, or if you are just mixing it.  I suppose you are just mixing it, in which case the song is as it is..   none the less when i hear a song build like that, and never really find a resolution where it really explodes, i find myself feeling like something was missed.

but hey.. i'm one person with my own opinion.. dont take me too seriously...
