Hi,

I'm getting the ATH-M50S' by Audio Technica, and I will be using it in conjunction with a FiiO Portable Headphone Amp (and either an L1 or L3 cable connector) and my iPhone 4. I was just wondering which amp to choose. (N.B. the impedance on the M50S' is about 32 ohms I think).

I can't seem to find the difference between the L1 or L3, because they look identical, so any information about those would help too.

Cheers guys! beerchug.gif

You don't need an external amp at all for those headphones as your ipod will drive them fine. If you want one any will do.

The E7 will act as a DAC as well getting better audio off your computer/laptop as well so thinking functionally maybe go for that?

ETA - If you're going for a FiiO LOD to 3.5 TRS connector, the L9 looks the best to me as it's lower profile.
