edit: I intend for this device to do no more/less than browsing the thundernet with my school's wifi in semi privacy and listen to some music and play what ever limited amounts of apps were released

Wait hp is selling their pc devision? Finally that greedy corporate mess of a company is giving up. I have hated hp from the start and still refuse to buy anything from them.

yup... but hey its a dead device but the web speed will remain the same, i just need it for shopping/surfing the web with the free time i have during school

Have you ever used an Agilent Spectrum Analyzer? They are the best.

BB only sold 25,000 of the 250,000ish they ordered right? If they didn't chuck them back at HP, a mountain would be a bit of an understatement. Mine's still "verifying." Hope it doesn't cancel for some reason. Probably still worth leaving the house at around 10 to get from a b&m store if it doesn't go through though. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if some people get it just for Angry Birds.

Also, weird fact. This thread is the second hit on Google (on this end anyways) if you search "HP Touchpad 99." Is this forum more popular than I thought? It ranked above Precentral.

I'll be down at BestBuy tomorrow morning to get one if they have any.

Not entirely sure what I'll do with it, but $100 is within my range for an impulse buy. smily_headphones1.gif

Hmmm... my nephew turns seven in a few weeks. He loves their (shared) iPad, but if it'll run Angry Birds and a few other games, he'll love it.

Shoot, my order was cancelled.

 

Oh, and there's a chance Best Buy won't have them. I've heard they're just sending them back. Take a look at Staples, Walmart, and Office Depot if you can!

Mine is processing. I didn't think it would go through so I emailed to cancel it while it was "verifying," but it went to "processing," so I hope to God that it goes through. Everywhere is out of stock around here.

 

I also saw a post saying that the servers lost a couple orders...but they're getting like 250,000 back.
