Headphones like Markl modded Denon D500

Hi Everyone,

 

I have a pair of Markl modded Denon AH D5000's. They sound great. I will keep these forever, but are there any other headphones that are similar, but have their own fine sound signature? I tried a pair of Beyer DT770's and had couldn't stand them. I'm not good with shrill highs. They gave me a head ache within 5 minutes. I've got about a$300.00 to work with. Too, I have been and will continue to study the headphone ranking and comparison forums. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

I have had two of his cans and still own one. Love the sound of them and the closest I have heard are the out of production Sony R10 at about $5,000.

Just remember we all hear differently and we all have our likes and dislikes. What I am trying to say is that what someone thinks is good may not be to others. biggrin.gif
