I'll let him know he should have an email. Can't really give out his number, even though you are in Austin. :D

Someone with the 009 and the LL is still thinking of going back to dynamics? My LL arrives tomorrow, and as much as I might enjoy a much-improved D7000 (which seems to be a very rough description of the TH900) or even the LCD-3 with the LF 2/Liquid Gold, I honestly hope that I'm won't be looking at ANY dynamic headphone setup once I get my LL.
Maybe I'm being naive, since we're never truly done in this hobby. But I just want one setup that will do it all for me, at least in terms of stationary home listening. I'm praying that the 009+LL will be it...

Oh don't worry, you'll be floored by the LL+009 and it's less a side by side contender than a reason to own a closed headphone.
After hearing the TH900 slight bass tilt is pretty awesome.
I'll be trying a high quality hardware EQ before I go for it though. Just a bass hike for fun when necessary. The 009 still puts the TH900 on blast.

Having heard both the LF+900 and LL+009 at the same time as MT did, I can firmly say there is no chance I would give up my Dynamic rig. But I also listen to alot of electronic dance music and enjoy some serious kick. To be sure, the 009 is surpassed by none, and is astonishing in it's own right, but it surely would not be my one and only for me. I would sorely miss my TH900. If I could only pick one, I honestly don't know which way I'd go. To be sure, I am trying to obtain 009 as quickly as possible, and you have made a wise choice. I envy you.

That's cool.
It needs a place holder or something. I got to have something to hold onto - so I can keep hope alive...

I took this advice from Stevey Guttenberg site the Audiophiliacs top music tracks for testing headphones and speakers. Mark Nauseef's "With Space in Mind". Percussion ambient wonderful strange-ness. If you want to test out you low end bass here is the place! Plus the percussive shots and cymbal noises are really a test. Sound stage and imaging deluxe. You can blow your ears out of your head with this one so take care! No compression here! LF handles this one beautifully...........

Hmmm. This could mean a lot of fragmented listening.
