Really cheap DAC that might be good for a beginner

Hey guys,

I ran across this DAC that might be good for a beginner.  At $25, it decodes up to 24bit 96kHz with S/PDIF input (only stereo input though, not surround 5.1).  It probably uses a terrible chip, and probably won't sound all that great, however if you're a beginner and are looking for a cheap DAC that decodes 24bit 96kHz audio and runs on S/PDIF this would be a good place to look.

Why don't you take a look at the fiio d3?
It has Wolfson chips and decodes 24/96 and is only $29...
I love this little DAC.

Heya,

Another mention of Fiio D3. If you want cheap, that's cheap, and it's not junk like most at that price range. It's just limited to input/output. Otherwise, amazing DAC for it's price.

Very best,
