Audigy 2 Hacked drivers?

Hi im just wondering is there anyway to cheat my computer that i have audigy 2 retail instead of bulk, Becose i cant install audigy 2(retail) stuff like THX console and such.

When i try to install audigy 2 retail drivers comes text Setup did not detect the required components. Setup will exit. Is there anyway to install retail drivers manually ?

You download the rediculously big driver pack .exe from Creative. Then you right click on it and extract the files to a folder. In those files will be the .inf drivers for the card. Go to your control panel -> system -> Device Manager and click on the sound card. Update the driver manually and point it to driver you extracted previously.

This is how you install a Creative card without all the bloated crappy software. The Audigy 2 drivers are actually quite good and worked great with my old Audigy.

I told you to PM me if you had any specific questions, but instead you just repeated your question. I will reiterate what I pm'd you back with: this works with the drivers, but I don't know about the software. I don't have an Audigy 2 so I can test it. To my knowledge the software for the Audigy 2 bulk and retail are the same... i have no idea why they wouldn't be (unless Creative is up to their old tricks again).

I think you can even install the A2 ZS driver with the original Audigy, but I don't really know. I sold my Audigy and bought an M-Audio Revolution and never looked back...

Been a long time since I actually did this, but I'll point you to this thread where I explained how to do it.

This was almost a year ago, so I don't know if you can still do it this way with the current versions of stuff.
