O? You purchased directly and imported from UK? How is the warranty? Included?

True also, i gotta visit Jaben in one day. Gotta prepare some lossless format or mp3 in 320kb music into my ipod before visiting.

Make sure you have a decent amp to use with your ipod as you won't get the true capabilities out of the HD650 when its underpowered. It would be like putting ethanol gas in your car opposed to ethanol free gas ;).

As I stated earlier its all subjective. And I bet you the people who listened to the HD650s weren't using decent sources to drive these cans. The HD650s and HD600's need a good amp to drive them to their full potential, otherwise they will sound like crap and you are wasting your money. An ipod can decently drive IEM (or some IEMS that is) from its headphone out but using it via line out dock with a decent portable amp will give you a much clearer picture of the HD650s capabilities. Otherwise you're wasting your time & money. Most of those negative views were most likely from people using underpowered sources to drive the cans to begin with. Not to mention dynamics take a long time to fully burn in so the longer you use them the better they will sound overtime. The HD650/600s take 400+ hours before the drivers settle. Same with my denon 5000's. I'm actually not done burning them in yet. Probably have 250 hours on them so far and they are still subtly changing. Unless the sound is really horrible I generally just burn them in as I listen so I can actually hear the changes for myself. It's pretty intriguing honestly.

It is a website from gimmedigi, Reviews from customers were bad. I think i won't go for it. And found a forum mentioned about HD650, it is about SGD 520 only.

But accidently found that HD600 is better than HD650, thought, HD650 got more potential to boot music.

How?

If you're referring to the thread that OP linked us to, the people at that forum were making statements of preference for the 600 vs the 650; so one would assume they compared both headphones with the same sources, which would mean in all cases both cans were either similarly underpowered or sufficiently powered.

Anyway, as you stated earlier it comes down to subjective preference. Put another way, that agrees with my doubt that people have made objective declarations that the "HD600 is better than the HD650"--again, in the context of the thread we were linked to, all I saw were people saying what they preferred, and nary a word about which one was objectively better.

Ok my bad, wasn't sure if he was reading reviews from a site where he was actually going to make his purchase from. It sounded at least that way from his post. The language barrier thing playing its roll as usual. That tends to happen when English isn't the first language spoken and its to be expected. I'm posting his response below to give you an idea of what I'm talking about

lee730: You might have missed his response to my query on the 600 > 650 assertion. He provided this link http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?t=3309724&page=2

Rest of that convo was on page 4 of this thread.

Yeah I was just going on his response to me. Still he'll have to decide if he wants a more neutral sound or a more musical sound. I prefer to have more bass presence myself but not at the expense of the mids and treble. As long as they are all clearly there then (not muddying up the other frequencies) I am happy. Synergy is also key to getting the right sound.

i sold my hifiman HE5LE & HD650 but kept the (now) silver recabled K702 instead. on my rig, the K702 almost matches the HD650 vaunted mids but better its at both bass (better quality with just a hair less quantity) & highs (much more open, detailed & extended). the HE5LE does bass  better (both in quantity & quality but only just as i dont feel much of a loss) but the K702s matches it in mids & highs with less upper tizz/shrillness.

for <$200 (used but mint), the K702 is an awesome value & sounds even better with 'matching' ancillary electronics. just my $0.02 ofcos.

I really love my AKG 702 and Senn combination. AKG's early in the morning for jazz, electronica, and folks, and then at work, the Senn 600's for more upbeat music. Two different amps of course, as I've never heard of one that does both well and is within my economic state of life. With some years of being into headphone, I've found a combination is the best.

If you have tried the Audeze LCD2-r2, I believe that you will sell out your AKG and Sennheiser.... Kakaka~ ksc75smile.gif
