Sure We Have Equipment, But How About What We Keep It In?

I'm definitely guilty of a messy and overly complicated setup for my many devices, my pc, two monitors, 5.1 speakers, tv, dvd player, cable box, ps2, ps3, xbox 360, n64, and various other cables, fans, lights, blah blah blah.  Point is, it's all a mess and I need a better way to organize!

 

Firstly, can anyone suggest a method that works for them?  I mean, what types of furniture do you use?  How about cable management?  And WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THESE EXTRA CABLES?!

 

Also, go ahead, post your set-ups!  I don't know if something like this exists already, but I couldn't find it.  I'm going to be rearranging soon, so maybe I'll be able to take pics of it all then.

 

I'm a real geek when it comes to...well...anything related to tweaking/optimizing things.

Have you tried looking at LifeHacker?

 

There's a "show off your desktop rig" thread. Should give you some ideas.

Yeah, LH is usually my one-stop-shop for things of this nature, but I figured I'd see what people here had to say, if anything.  One never knows where one might find useful information.

ah, thought it sounded familiar.  I remember having seen that post now, guess this wasn't necessary.  oh well!
