cmoy amp troubleshooting

hey all,

 

ive been reading the forums lately about cmoy troubleshooting and i had an issue regarding the amp i just built. when i turn it on, i get a buzzing in both ears. also i wired it to a 10k dual potentiometer i got from radioshack. (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3064080) a user from there listed what each of the connections was (ground, wiper 1-2, end 1-2). i wired it as such and when the volume knob is turned fully counterclockwise, i get loud buzzing. as i turn it clockwise, the buzzing decreases. did i wire the pot backwards?

and also, i am going to check my solders tomorrow for any bad connections and such if that could cause buzzing. and i grounded the input, output, and pot to my PCB. is there anything else i should check regarding this buzzing?

btw i wanted to use this amp with my pair of superlux HD 668B. a friend told me that it slightly enriches the sound, though im not sure how
