To begin with, this is my first post here on Head-Fi and I'm not 100% sure how i should go about getting the necessary information on how to make these headphones. I have found quite a few tutorials on how to modify an existing pair of headphones to cancel noise, but I'm not too fond of my current pair and their performance. Here are my requirements that the headphones should meet:
Over Ear
Noise Canceling
At least as good sound quality as a legitimate manufacturer
In-Line Volume adjustment (I think that's what u call that dial that adjusts volume found along the wire)
Preferably not everyday substitutes, such as a headband or earmuffs. I want these to be somewhat comparable to high quality headphones such as sennheiser or boss.
I would also like the wire to go into both ear cups individually rather than have the wire travel through the headband.
I would appreciate it if contributors gave a few different alternatives as far as materials and assembly go and why they would be a good course of action(Pros/Cons etc.).
I'm not the most knowledgeable person on the topic, but I know someone who gets this stuff, so I'd appreciate simplicity in the tutorial, but appreciate whatever you can offer.
Keep in mind, I'm not looking to spend more money than the manufacturers version cost, but feel free to suggest anything you want, regardless of expense.
That's all, and thanks for your time!
