will do. I'm hoping for the WS55s but if I get the HAS600s I'll be happy with those too.

 

How long is the burn in on the ATs? And what kind of tracks are good for burn in?

The bassier the better. I use a long 3 hours DnB compilation I throw on fairly loud volume for the whole day.. It does the trick I think better than any other method I have tried. It literally beats the drivers till they are loose.. Drum n Bass. .Dub. Trance even hiphop..Anything with a lot of drums and or beats to them. If you have a dance radio station that plays a lot of club music you can try that as well..

I say go with which ever one is more easier on your wallet..Satisfaction wise I think both will be similar and I can vouch for the the WS55. The D1100 is getting good reviews as well but cost double..I was considering getting a D1100 myself but ended up saving up a bit more for a D2000. You can buy a used D2000 for the same cost of a new D1100. So that my friend is up to you.

I agree that pioneers lower end cans sound a lot like their more expensive brothers. I've had an se-a1000, mj5, still have dj1000, se-m390.

I haven't heard the Pro5Mk2s but I have doubts those will be better than the HDJ500.. These sound just like their big brothers the HDJ1000 and HDJ2000 with big bold bass and the best club in your head sound you have ever heard..

Oh yea. Pioneer sound is too much fun and not enough props for the Pioneer sound imo. I am gonna get their basshead earphones that just came out. If they do the Pioneer sound justice might do a thread based on them. We will see.

Ya the Pioneer basshead iems. If they have a similar sound to their DJ cans we are in for a treat. The first few reviews of them are promising. .41ZYeuEkarL._SL500_AA300_.jpgThe club in your head sound just got a whole new literal meaning. lol. Will test one very soon.

In terms of bass, will the HDJ500 have enough to take on the Audio Technica Pro700MK2? Also can will this headphone can also fend the Pro500mk2 because this has bigger 53mm drivers and almost made to fight the HDJ500.

2 things. First I was much like you in that I thought bigger drivers mean bigger bass. Nope that simply is not the case. My Denon HP1000 Dj phones and my Technics 1200A Dj cans both have bigger drivers. 53mm and 50mm.  The HDJ500 has bigger bass @ 40mm and I think The Ultrasone Pro900s also use 40mm titanium drivers and those have a big amount of bass as well.  As for the Pro700Mk2. Those have a retarded amount of bass. If you want Bass and don't care for nothing else in your sounds. Try out a Pro700Mk2. The bass is so strong on those that highs and mids just float on the bass.. Where the pioneer wins is you have all the other parts of the sound spectrum but with nice clean full bass.
