So it plugs into the wall, no phantom required? Also do I need a preamp to push monitors? The MacBook probably doesnt have enough output

Active monitors would most likely take audio input from source via RCA so use a 3.5mm to RCA cable and slot the 3.5mm end to the headphone jack of a Macbook and the RCA red/white ends to the active monitor and it's all good
