Aren't the SA6 discontinued and being replaced with the SA6-R? anyone have more info on this?

Personally I prefer UM3X for detachables but as it was mentioned earlier they don't do well with sweat and you really shouldn't be working out in those

I also forgot to mention the SM3v2, although I think the FOTM for the SM3 is over now.

There was an SM3 FOTM? Lol.

The deep insertion HF5, ER4P/S  or CK10, CK100 are better ( gym use) and they all sound fantastic (can easily rival SE535).

The HF5 has terrible microphonics (ymmv - but a LOT of people feel this way) and I'd be surprised if the ER4 is better. Not great when using a running machine or rower.

Good advice from you, as always, but keep in mind he wanted removable cables.

Ok so it has to be around $400-600, has to have a detachable cable, not be the SE535, and not be a custom, and be ideal for gym use (lively sound?)... what is the left to select..? Perhaps an equalized Sony EX1000, or just delve into the custom IEM world if you are looking for top notch sound quality and replacable cables
