Is there anything I can do with this copper wire besides recycle it? Thank you.

Perhaps some truly awesome speaker cables. biggrin.gif

Seriously, is it solid or stranded? You could wire the mains to your house (or even your neighborhood) with that!

Oops, just saw it was solid. Sorry.

How flexible is it? That much must weigh quite a bit. Can you even lift it or is it on an industrial sized spool?

I have it off of the spool. It is pretty flexible. I also have some pieces that are sleeved and have 15 strands each cable. I can't lift all of it, but 20-35 ft. lengths are a lot easier to manage. I just want to try and make use of some of it before I recycle it.

You could sell all that copper for a decent amount of money at your local tip or similar, then use that to buy some more manageable wire biggrin.gif

15 strands to make a 6 awg cable? I am confused.

Is it all multiple strand or are some solid pieces actually 6awg?

No, those cables have 15 strands. Sorry, the stranded cables are actually 10awg each. The other wire is 6 awg. All of it is solid, so I have 15 strand 10 awg and single 6 awg wire.

copper is steap! sell high buy low! hold on to it for a little while longer and wait for copper to hike. you'll know when ppl start stealing copper pipes from plumber trucks and building water mains.

The 10awg would probably make good speaker cable. Not sure what you would do with the 6awg. Probably good for grounding wire. Perhaps a ground buss.

Right, the 10 gauge would be perfect for speaker or power cable. The solid 6 gauge would be too thick and unmanageable for most audio uses imho.
