Complete General Purpose Rig

Hi everyone, I am looking for some advice on a complete rig for my PC.  I listen to a decent variety of music so I would like good all-round headphones.  Also, I might use the headphones for gaming and movies if they are better than my pc350s... which some decent headphones probably will be.  Right now I am thinking about getting a Schiit amp and the Schiit Dac when it comes out so that might factor into my choice.  However, I am not against getting a different amp or dac.

My budget is around $1k.  As far as what I listen to, I listen to a lot of fast paced music such as punk, rock, some metal, and lots of irish punk like dropkick murphy's or flogging molly.  Generally I prefer more analytical sound signatures.  I have some RE0s which I love but would like something a bit more fun than those.  I am certainly not a basshead but I do play bass guitar so I really like to have that instrument highlighted when I listen.

Thanks

I reallyloved the smooth vocals from the RE0, but the have no soundstage and very very little bass.

I was fortunate enough to get in on the $100 Triple.Fi 10 deal however. They aren't as smooth in the miss, but boy do they have a WIDE soundstage and a very entertaining sound! Easily my favorite headphone of those listed in my sign.

Thanks for the info.  However, I am looking for some full-sized headphones.  What do you think of your hd580s... I am thinking about getting some hd600s.
