beyerdynamics dt880 600ohm headphone amplifier with 48v phantom power together ?

Hello, i'm wondering if i can get some kind of studio mixer which can amplify 600 ohm headphones as well as providing an xlr slot driving 48v phantom power for a microphone

i did some research and found the type of thing i'm looking for:

mack_402vlz3.jpg

mackie 402-VLZ3

but this is not really useful for me as it said in the manual that the phones output can only provide up to 60 ohm impedances and that all other outputs can only provide up to 120 ohm...

Also this is a little off my budget - my budget is €200

So I want to ask you this, Should i just search for some kind of tube amplifier capable of providing 600 ohm and a 48v phantom power supply separately? or do you know something better such as a studio mixer with both features?

Cheers.

i am thinking of getting the Little Dot mk III tube amplifier now, do you think this one is powerful enough for a 600 ohm impedance? also how do I find this out from the specifications?

I would say it would do fine but in my opinion you should go for the MKIV model. It's a tad more powerful and those 600Ohm headphones need all the power they can get.

Both Little Dot spec can be find on the litttledot.net web site and from that web site the power output is:

Little Dot MKlll

  • 350 mW @ 300/600 ohm
  • 300 mW @ 120 oh
  •  100 mW @ 32 ohm

Little Dot MK IV

  • Power Output:
  • 500 mW @ 300/600 ohm
  • 300 mW @ 120 ohm
  • 100 mW @ 32 ohm

You might be able to find a powered studio mixer with headphone output that is strong enough for 600 cans. Maybe BEHRINGER for example?

The MKIV can put an additional 150mW into 600Ohms. I would say just spend the extra and get that one.
