Monster Turbine Pro Copper or Gold w/ Headstage Arrow 4G Amp

Title says it all. Which sounds better? With the golds and an amp will the bass drown everything else out? With the coppers and an amp will everything sound balanced and still have that oomph that I'm looking for with the bass? On amazon.com they're selling the coppers for $211.08 and on ebay.com I can get the golds for around the same price.

I once had the Monster Turbine Pro Gold headphones, and the 3g Arrow amp. The amp seems to open up the bass, without unbalancing the sound. I could have the bass on full, and have no distortion, except at higher volumes ofc. The entire sound was more crisp. I really recommend the pair. I don't have the amp right now, but i have ordered the 4g arrow to replace it. I recently upgraded my Gold turbines to the Coppers, but i will have to wait for my amp to arrive to test them. The Coppers have a larger sound stage, and the bass is a bit less prominent. I believe that with the Arrow amp, the bass will have the same potential as the golds. If you love to analyze your music, go for the copper. if you just love great sound, go gold. I'd say the amp is a must. I know i am replying to an old post, but i hope this is helpful to someone.

 

BTW. i am convinced that that amp can make any speaker sound good. :D
