Upgrading from a X-Can V8

Thread Starter

Time for an upgrade! New tubes/PSU or new Amp?

Imaging is the most important thing..

Setup:

Denon LA5000's

X-Can V8

Audio-gd DAC - 19 DSP

I was leaning more towards buying a new amp than an upgrade because I'd prefer an amp with two pairs of line-in outputs, but just glancing at the for sale section photos this seams to be uncommon no matter the price triportsad.gif

Probably the tubes/PSU.

I'd get the Pink Floyd "Little Pinkie" PSU (see http://www.rock-grotto.co.uk/), and the Russian 6H23N-EV tubes, or some Amperex tubes.

The additional line outs are pretty rare - I don't think I've ever seen them.

Another option, which would be a bit more expensive, would be to get the M^3 on the FS Forum and have Rockhopper ad the line outs to it.
